Start Birth Years Birthstars Constellations

By 1980, forty-four constellations had staked their claims on a particular region in popstrological space, and the forty-fifth to do so -- the constellation Reaganrock -- was so powerful as to put an end to the process of constellation formation for good.

Constellations reflect the relationships among the stars of the popstrological firmament, and as such, they have a great deal to say about the way you relate to your fellow humans. For instance, the specific shared attribute that defines each constellation is a powerful predictor of the issues those born under its influence bring into their relationships. Children of the constellation Invisible Hand are well known for putting the needs of others ahead of their own, while children of the constellation Spin-Off tend to keep their priorities focused on themselves. Children of the constellation Shape-Shifter often have difficulty with commitment, whereas children of the constellation Folkie can't seem to commit themselves quickly enough, and can't seem to stop proclaiming their commitment once they give it.

Your Birthstar's constellation alignment can also be used to understand the strengths and weaknesses of your existing relationships, and to determine your compatibility with potential new friends, colleagues, and lovers. With so many potential combinations of constellations possible, it would be impractical for popstrologists to develop a complete guide to favorable and unfavorable matches, but as with every aspect of popstrology, you can probably work out for yourself the meaning of the constellation combinations that apply in your own relationships if you give it a try. Do you share an alignment with the constellation Reaganrock with someone special in your life? If so, your only source of conflict in your relationship may be fighting over who gets to compromise himself or herself more. Are you a child of the constellation Fresh Breeze who has attracted the attention of someone born under the constellation Old Guard? Tread carefully, for while they may allow themselves the occasional flirtation with the fresh and new, their commitment to the status quo may eventually come to the fore.
